Preview of the Wedding savings tracker printable

Wedding costs add up fast, and the easiest way to keep them in check is to see them all at once. The cost list covers the big categories, from venue and food to attire, photos and rings.

Add them up, divide by 100 and write the amount on the sheet. Each box is one percent of the wedding. Color them in together as you save.

How it works

List what each part of the wedding will cost and add it up. Divide the total by 100, so each box is 1% of the wedding. Color in a box every time you save that much, together.

Example: what each box is worth
Wedding budgetEach of 100 boxes (1%)Per month over 12 months
$10,000$100$834
$15,000$150$1,250
$25,000$250$2,084
$35,000$350$2,917

How to use it

  1. Fill in an estimate for each cost and add up the total.
  2. Divide by 100. Each box is that amount, or 1% of your goal.
  3. Color in a box every time you save that much.

Tips

  • Decide your total first, then fit the categories to it.
  • Ask about deposits and due dates so you save in the right order.

Questions

How do I make a wedding budget?

Decide the total you can afford first, then divide it between categories like venue, food, attire, photos and rings. This sheet lists the common ones.

How much should we save each month for a wedding?

Divide your total by the months until the date. For $15,000 over 12 months, that is $1,250 a month.

Which wedding costs come first?

Venue and vendor deposits usually come first. Ask each vendor when payments are due and save for those first.
