Preview of the Reverse 52-week savings challenge printable

The classic 52-week challenge starts at $1 and climbs to $52, which means the biggest amounts land in December, right when holiday costs hit. The reverse version flips it. You start at $52 in January, while motivation is high, and finish with $1 in the last week of the year.

The total is the same: $1,378. The sheet lists every week with its amount and a running total, so you always know where you stand.

How it works

You save $52 in the first week, $51 in the second, and one dollar less each week until you save $1 in week 52. The total is $1,378, the same as the classic challenge, but the hardest weeks are in January instead of December.

Where you’ll be through the year
After weekThat weekSaved so far
4$49$202
13$40$598
26$27$1,027
39$14$1,287
52$1$1,378

How to use it

  1. Write the date of each week in the date column, or just tick weeks off as you go.
  2. Each week, save the amount on that row and tick it off.
  3. Use the running total to check your progress at a glance.
